Amanda Blake

Amanda Blake, born as Beverly Louise Neill, was famous American actress. Best known for her role as Miss Kitty Russell from the TV show "Gunsmoke" however, she was also a popular American actress. Her other notable roles included the roles she played in shows on television including "The Red Skelton Show,' 'Tattletales,' and The Edge of Night. Also, she appeared in hundreds of films, such as 'Stars in My Crown' 'Duchess Idaho', 'Cattle Town', 'Miss Robin Crusoe'and "About Mrs. Leslie The Adventures of Hajji Baba', 'High Society' and 'The Boost'. Blake She was employed as a phone operator, loved animals. She, along with her spouse Frank Gilbert, was one of the first to successfully breed cheetahs. She was a co-founder with her husband Frank Gilbert of Arizona Animal Welfare League. In addition to being a board member of the Humane Society of the United States Blake has an extensive history. Blake was awarded numerous awards such as being inducted into the Hall of Great Western Performers of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.
